Keeping Aptoide TV up to date

Newer builds bring bug fixes and catalog improvements. Updating takes under a minute and won't touch anything you've already installed through it.

Option 1 — Let Aptoide TV check for you

Aptoide TV keeps track of its own version and checks in periodically. Open the app, head to Settings, and look for an "About" or "Check for Updates" entry. If a newer build is available, it'll offer to download and install it right there — you'll get the same install confirmation screen you saw the first time.

Option 2 — Reinstall manually

If the in-app check doesn't turn anything up, or you'd rather not wait, grab the current APK from our download page and install it over the existing app.

Download the latest APK

Use the direct link or the Downloader code — same process as your original install.

Install over the existing app

Android recognizes it as the same app and updates it in place — nothing gets wiped.

Open and confirm

Check Settings → About inside Aptoide TV to confirm the version number changed.

Installing a new APK over an old one preserves your settings and app history. You only lose data if you uninstall first — so don't do that unless something's actually broken.
