This means the APK file downloaded incompletely or got corrupted in transit. Delete the file and download it again — ideally over a stable Wi-Fi connection rather than a spotty one. If it happens twice in a row, try our Mediafire mirror instead of the direct link.
Usually one of three things: not enough free storage, an older version of Aptoide TV installed with a conflicting signature, or a previous failed install left partial files behind. Clear some storage, uninstall any existing Aptoide TV entry first, then reinstall fresh.
Play Protect flags any APK it doesn't recognize from the Play Store — that's expected behavior for a sideloaded app, not a sign anything's wrong. When the warning appears, select "Install anyway" or "More details" → "Install anyway" to proceed.

Some launchers hide newly sideloaded apps from the main row by default. Check your full apps list (usually under Settings → Apps, or a dedicated "Apps" section on your home screen) — Aptoide TV is almost always sitting there even if it didn't get pinned to the front row automatically.

Rare, but it can happen on very old or unusual TV box chipsets. Double-check you're on Android 5.0 or later (Settings → About → Android version), since that's the minimum Aptoide TV supports.
